I am here. I will not be here for long.
But I have installed Text Pattern and will be scrapping this site and redoing it completely. I will be starting afresh! Goodbye old content (perhaps?). Once I sort it out I will be able to update from the road (or to be more precise, the train tracks) more easily, and you will be able to comment without an account, and I can fix typos easier, and blah blah blah HTML/CSS/backend stuff.
Oh, and I’m leaving the United States, traveling around Europe by train for 6 weeks, and moving to Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Oh, and also, I’m leaving May 24th.

please stop equating texas with the rest of the USA. There’s no worse place to live in the country than the what should be much more of a ‘lone star’ state. Houston is especially terrible, Austin is great for the transients that weren’t cool enough to make it to seattle until they grow up, Dallas is just ok.
It’s certainly a bit pathetic about the cat. I’ve had my black “pissing on the bathroom floor if the litter box is not perfectly clean” lump of fir for 12 years and lugged that goddamn fat rat all across the country, not out of desire for a pet (which ebbs and flows) but because once you adopt, you take personal responsibility for the creature’s welfare, especially if you went and got the poor thing’s claws torn out. If you left the claws in, just let it outside the day you move away, if not, well, then take it with you.
i live in the states myself and dont dislike it-but i dont like it either. not everyone likes it here. and no its not cool to just leave a cat outside to fend for itself after someone has catered to it for years. that be like putting a human naked in antartica with nothing but polar fleece. or maybe not, i havent had my coffee yet…but it makes sense in my mind.

Manchester rules. I went there for a couple of days last year and loved it. It’s one of the potential destinations for my eventual big British adventure. I’m sure you’ll have a brilliant time there.

Oh my! I haven’t been here in aaaages and decided to visit to see what’s going in the world of Ani Moller… this is bizarre, i’m leaving Australia on May 23rd, travelling around Europe for 6 weeks with my best friend then moving to London! Weird!!

No, “The Other Guy” and I broke up last year. Let’s just say… actually, I’ll leave the rest up to you.
I’ve actually been planning to do this for well over a year, before “The Other Guy” was even in the picture.
I was going to do that, but it looks like the shipping will be around $1200, and that’s not including the extra fees I need to pay to get her into the UK, or the boarding (around $300-400). I can’t afford that. :’(
I’m sure I could find her a good home here. I’ll miss her terribly, but she is a great cat and would make someone who is currently catless happy.
Declawing cats is fucking cruel. So is leaving and letting them outside to fend. Fuck that.
