Manchester living

I’ve been in Manchester for about 6 weeks now. I have four interviews lined up this week, and have also been offered the position at the place I’m temping at. Hopefully I will have a permanent job soon!

We still don’t have internet yet. We have an installation date for Saturday, so hopefully I can be online after then. I have so many emails to catch up on and loads to write about. I also have some photos to sort and upload. However, spending this long without the internet makes me not really be bothered. But I guess I do need something to do, seeing how Manchester is so bloody cold and rainy, you can’t really go outside that often.

That is, unless you like to be wet and cold.

  1. Cool. Good luck with the interviews. I hope you find a full time position soon. I start mine tommorow. My first day at the job. I’m really excited!

  2. Wet and cold… well, welcome to Northern Europe. Try not to think about it, but you better get used to it ;)

I think I should try and have one of those net-less adventures as well, it sounds tempting.

  3. dallas has been mild! the weather for much of the summer was in the 80s and 90s, with alot of rain in June and August. Hell, I think it may be raining now.

  4. Houston is still a smoldering cespool of summer heat and humidity. Wet and cold sounds rather pleasant. ;)

    good luck w/ the interviews

  5. I lived in Manchester for a while. I’ve never been to a city that had so much rain. I wonder who on earth had the brilliant idea to start building a city there—the topography (sea to the west, mountains to the north, east and south) should be clue enough to tell anybody that it’s going to rain a lot in this place.
