An insane woman cut my hair- her name is Emma. It seems that if you ask for that insane freak to trim off only about 3mm from all you hair BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GROW IT and you simply want it neat, then insane Emma thinks you mean that you want it hacked off.

The hairdressing salon is called “Ego”. Nightmare hairdresser.

What is wrong with these insane freaks?

I’m somewhat convinced that certain hairdressers just keep cutting in order to pad out the time. This way they can be justified in charging you as much as the other more time consuming cuts.

For these hairrdressers ‘just a thinning and tidy up’ means nothing.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who finds it exceptionally traumatic going to the hairdressers. I went today and came out of the place in tears, having been on the verge of a mullet. And to make it worse, I tipped her as I felt like I was the one who had the problem!! AAARGH. Had to go to another salon to get a sort out – now its going to be three months before I can tie my hair back again, which would be okay if it was actually a nice cut.. Here’s to solidarity for all others who share an entirely rational fear of hairdressers, especially ones who insist on using products even when you have told them that you don’t want any…just a wee spray of this or a blob of that. NO! NO! NO!

Wow crazy stuff im a hd have been for awhile and fark this is scary stuff, yes razzor so not good i still dont and have never understood why hairdressers use them, lots of great hairdressers in welly but sadly they are not cheap, the best why to find a great cutter is to spot a cut you like on the streets then track them down always the way, good luck. peace

I found a great hairdresser, like really, really great – Emma at Vanilla on Victoria Street in Wellington. At my last cut she told me she is moving to another city. :’(

okay well i was so sick of shit hairdressers i thought ‘what the hell, i can do a better job than them.’ i cut my own hair.
idiotic me.
it went all lopsided so i went to get it fixed. i stated to the hairdresser that she was not to touch my fringe as i was growing it out. she did an okay job and then decided she was going to go against my wishes and cut the fringe anyway.
she took about an inch of an inch and a half long fringe. my hair grows quite slowly and i’ve had to brush all my hair foward so you can’t see what a shitty job she did.
i have never found a hairdresser that has done what i’ve wanted in my entire life. i really feel for you. hairdressers suck.

i have found where i live, anyway, if you pick the girls with sper pretty locks of long hair and extreemly into fashion, you will get a pretty good haircut. Without seriously offending any readers, in my town,if u are slightly over weight and frumpy (not into fashion) and they have short hair…WARNING BELLS go upfor me. I say this withot meaning to be cruel. I am slightly over weight and very hippie trend in clothes, but i fear the hairdressers too. In fact, i recently got a bad due, and its all frizzed out, yes, i didnt follow my own advice, i was in bad mood and went to first place i could. BAD MISTAKE. oh well, I am begining to think real hairstylists are gifted by god the others pretend.

Geez, i hate hair dressers too, they also never seem to listen to what YOU want, i have tried to tell them and they make that face (like when you take your car to the garage, you know what i’m talking about girls, and if your not accompnied by a oily sweaty man you have thousands worth of work needed on it) and then convince you how bad that look is on you, make you feel an inch tall. Then if thats not bad enough you end up swaying to what they reccomend they try make it sound like it’s close to what you wanted only for it to be completely different and 7 / 10 it winds up far from and ressembling the persons hair next to you or their own hair cut. They even make YOU feel guilty that it didnt go right….. thats why i avoid hairdressers until i NEED a hair cut, i have a special brush that chops of dead ends now so i dont have to go as often
